Meet the Therapy Team

  • Alice is founder of The Heartbreak Hotel, an academic and author. She is an HCPC registered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a passionate advocate of social justice approaches to psychology.

Throughout her career, she has worked across diverse settings, including the NHS, charities, and private practice, gaining a wealth of insight into supporting individuals through life’s challenges.

Currently, Alice’s primary focus is on the Heartbreak Hotel program, where she guides women through a transformative journey of healing and change beginning with a two hour intensive therapy conversation. She is also the author of The Heartbreak Hotel book that offers readers a deeper understanding of how to navigate heartbreak, betrayal, and loss. Her writing reflects her passion for helping women process the complexities of these experiences, reconnect with their inner strength, and emerge with a renewed sense of clarity and hope.

Alice’s work is inspired by her belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of connection.

  • Counselling Psychologist

Martina is an experienced Counselling Psychologist. Her work with the Heartbreak Hotel is inspired by the profound strength of female friendships—the kind that validates our feelings and offers gentle support until we’re ready to face life with courage once more.

  • Psychotherapist

Sarah is based in London (UK) and is passionate about human connection and how developing a sense of connection with ourselves, our story, and our values, as well as with each other and the natural world, is central to our wellbeing.

Her work at The Heartbreak Hotel is informed by an interest in re-conecting to yourself after relationship breakdown and finding an empowered way through that experience towards your next chapter.

  • Counselling Pscyhologist

Menna brings a wealth of experience supporting individuals through life's transitions, grief, and heartbreak. She has worked with a wide range of mental health challenges, often exploring how loss and change can manifest in issues like eating difficulties, chronic pain, or perinatal anxiety.

Guided by a relational and integrative approach, Menna prioritizes building warm, genuine, and collaborative therapeutic relationships. She combines insight-driven techniques with third-wave interventions, such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help clients untangle challenges, rediscover joy, and embrace personal growth.
